SWX Europe Limited (formerly virt-x Exchange Limited) was founded in 2001 as the first cross-border
trading platform
for pan-European blue chips. By offering a range of innovative services SWX Europe
actively shapes new developments in European securities trading and ensures a competitive
trading landscape in London. Since its launch SWX Europe has focused on consulting with the
London trading community to develop competitive models, successfully increasing its share
of SMI trading in the UK, and introducing new services including trade reporting.
